Startup issue

If you are using magic jack plugged into a USB port of your computer, it should start automatically. At this time, you also need to be assured that magic jack is properly attached to your computer. If it doesn’t start, then firstly unplug it and try plugging it into a different USB port. If the issue still persists, then you can try these steps or you can also take Magic jack Help:

Windows Vista Users

• If you are user of Windows Vista, then go to C > Documents and Settings > Users > Application data > Roaming > mjuusbsp > in00000.
• Copy this file name setup and close that folder.
• Click the Start button after that click on All programs, right click the Startup folder and choose to open all users.
• Now paste the setup file into that folder.
• Your magic jack will now start on bootup.

Windows XP Users

• If you are the user of Windows XP, then go to the Control Panel, click folders options, click on the tab named view. Now check View Hidden files and folders, click apply, then click on OK, and close the control panel.
• Go to C > Documents and Settings > your name > Application data > mjusbsp > in00000.
• Copy this file name setup and close that folder.
• Click the Start button after that click on All programs, right click the Startup folder and choose to open all users.
• Now paste the setup file into that folder.
• Your magic jack will now start on bootup.

Screen Display Issue

If you are experiencing a problem starting up your magic jack or you do not see the on-screen display or menu, try these steps to resolve them or you can also take Magic jack Support:

• Firstly, try to use a different USB port other than that you are using.
• If this doesn’t work, download the upgrade on your desktop. Once the upgrade has complete, double click the upgrade icon on your desktop.
• If that doesn’t work for you, then go to control panel in Windows and click on the option of Add/Remove Programs.
• Now check for anything called musicmatch, musicmatch Jukebox, or Yahoo Jukebox. If you have any of these, then uninstall them.
• If that also doesn’t work, then open task manager (control + Alt + delete) and click on the tab named Processes. Locate and end the following processes UTSCSI, NEWNET_SETUP, MAGICJACK, and MAGICJACKLOADER.
• If one or several of these are not listed, do not worry. Now unplug your magic jack, wait for 15 seconds, and plug it back in.
• If that doesn’t even work, then got to My Computer and locate the drive named Vista Only, Phone, or Removable disk, but make sure it tis in magic jack drive. Right click on that drive, click on format, and then click on start. Unplug magic jack, wait for 15 seconds, and plug magic jack back in. Now you will need to download the magic jack upgrade again.
